Club Policies

  • Financial Commitment Policy

Families that accepted their travel offer(s)  received the Welcome Packet  before the beginning of the Fall and/or Spring seasons. Teams are formed with both Fall and Spring seasons in mind.

By accepting your offer to play with the Club, you are also acknowledging that leaving mid-season will not only have an effect on the camaraderie of the team but also effects the Club financially.

Apex FC families that leave the team before the season ends, which is no later than the first weekend of June, still have an obligation to pay out their dues. Apex FC has no obligation to release players from their roster that are not current on their dues. WIth that said, players would not be able to return to a recreation league and play with a current  travel carded player.

Failure to comply may escalate into legal matters.

  • Playing Time Policy

Apex FC strongly believes in a meritocracy -  everything is earned and not given. We have some immensely talented athletes, but even those athletes aren't gauranteed anything.

Playing time is based off of performance and work ethic, determined by the Coaches. Position also is a factor, for example, teams with an excessive amount of forwards will have to assess the player pool and make more substitutions than the teams with only a few forwards. The same principle can be applied to all positions.

To make the most of your athlete's time on the team, we highly encourage discussing the positive effects of stepping out of their comfort zones by playing where the Head Coach needs them to play.

It is imperitive that you do not approach the coaching staff about playing time or how to play athletes and where. Our coaching staff has been trained to coach with Apex FC principles in mind.

If you are interested in coaching, please take advantage of US Soccer's grassroots courses and even furthermore, we encourage you to continue down the pathway and obtain your coaching licenses starting at D and working your way up.

  • Issue Escalation Policy

Just like in everyday life, we will always come across individuals that may not agree with our beliefs and decisions.

To have an issue/concern addressed, it must go down the line of authority in order. Before reaching out to the governing bodies of the sport, we urge our families to discuss their issues and/or concerns with the Team Managers. Depending on what the matter relates to is who you will be directed to.

  • Guest Play/Club-Pass Policy

Players that are eligible to play up/play down are able to do so with the Club-Pass rule, so long as their birth years fall under the guest teams category.

Players are eligible to play in more than one game per day so long as there is no conflict for the players' primary teams, that is, the team they are officially rostered with.

  • SafeSport/Safeguarding Policy

Apex FC is compliant with all requirements set forth by SafeSport and our governing bodies. This goes for employees and volunteers.

The complete policy can be accessed here.

  • Parents Code of Conduct

It is important as parents to set positive examples for our children, both on and off the pitch. We have a set of standards that we will not deviate from, regardless of who requests the accomodations and why.

    • I agree to support Apex FC and the team in requiring players to abide by the Players Code of Conduct.
    • I will not post any negative comments about my player, their team, or the club on any social media outlet.
    • We shall do our best to teach our players to become students of the game.
    • We shall do our very best to have our child prepared for every match.
    • We shall support the learning effort of the players, the coaches, and the referees by demonstrating our patience.
    • I will not under any circumstance shout abusively at my child or any other child. Failure to abide by this could result in a sanction, or furthermore, a ban from matches for both parents and players.
    • I will not dispute any call made by the referee; and I understand that Apex FC may sanction any spectator who verbally abuses or assaults a referee.*
    • I will not coach my child or other children from the sideline during the game. The coaching will and should be left to the coaches only.
    • I will only make positive comments to the players, and it is understood that coaches, not parents, should provide instructional input during games.
    • I understand that the game is for the children, not for the adults.
    • I understand that obscenities are prohibited and that the referee shall instruct any spectator guilty of using obscenity to leave the venue.
    • I understand that Apex FC parents are responsible for the behavior of all their team’s guests/spectators and that they shall act in accordance with the Code of Conduct.**
    • I understand that if, during the match, the spectators behavior is out of line then the referee will ask the coaches and/or designated TSL (Team Sportsmanship Liaison) to speak to the spectators; if the behavior continues, it is within the discretion of the referee to ask the offending spectator(s) to leave the venue; and the referee shall abandon the match if the spectators become unruly and out of control.
    • I understand the likelihood for some or all games to be filmed for learning and training purposes. Audio from the cameras is picked up, so I must be mindful of what is said on the sidelines.
    • I understand that any inappropriate actions on my part could jeopardize my player’s position on the team.***
    • I will not walk over to the players’ bench during and/or after the game, as to let Coach finish his post-match discussions with the team.
    • I will only walk onto the pitch if I am called over for an injury.

I agree to abide by the code of conduct. I understand that I play a vital role in creating a positive environment for not just my player’s development, but the development of the team. Furthermore, I represent Apex FC in the community and as such my conduct should reflect this. If I violate any part of the Code of Conduct, I understand that I will be sanctioned in the form of verbal warnings and/or bans from matches. I also understand that failure to abide by the Code of Conduct will result in the termination of my player’s spot on the team.

    * - any face-to-face confrontation done with the referees, regardless of the result, will be an automatic suspension for the player(s) of the parent(s) involved in the confrontation. All complaints regarding the referee(s) need to be in writing to be officially submitted to US Soccer.

** - While parents are still able to receive red cards for their behavior on the sidelines, the Head Coach is now responsible for serving that sit out. If the referee is a minor, the suspension goes up to 9 games. While the Head Coach sits out for the suspension, the player of the parent who ultimately received the red card will also serve a suspension.

*** - Players will serve an immediate suspension for any unruly behavior that their parents/guardians exhibit towards any Apex FC coach or staff.
